I had a dream

For to many years I’ve been a two gadget/platform user. That is mobile phone (Sony-Ericsson P800) and Palm T3/T|X. Now, after listening to several pod casts about the wondrous TREO 700P I really want one. But the problem is that I’m not a US resident, but living in Sweden. Now, the latest rumour has it that the only thing close to the 700P that we will ever se over here is the 700W. That is all well, but since I’ve been spending hundreds of dollars on software, like Dictionaries, Bible dictionaries and DoToGo 8.0 there’s no way to emigrate to Windows for handhelds, or…Are there? Will I have to pay the price double for my software? Anyone now a way out of my dilemma?

Like you said, that's a rumour. There are two things you can do:

1) Wait for a GSM 700p/750p (that's a rumour too ;) ) to drop in Europe, or,
2) Buy an old GSM Treo 650.

The 650 ain't that much worst than the 700p, especially if you do a custom ROM and pop in a 4gig card. Using ZLauncher or other programs that let you move programs to the card, you can stuff it full of programs.

Also, the 700p is CDMA, and Europe uses GSM networks. If money isn't an issue and you have enough patience, then a Palm-powered GSM Treo will be out in Europe by Christmas.
