What is your way of watching wmv files on the palm?
I own a T5 and convert them on PC using KinomaConverter and get mp4 files which I play on the palm using TCPMP 0.63
I suspect, though, that there's another, maybe easier way to watch these clips on palm.

I think someone figured out how to roughly do this. Using old WMV files (I think Windows Media 9 or below?) you can rename the file to .asf, which allows pTunes to recognize it. You can then play the audio through pTunes and then go into TCPMP and play the video (Although it won't sync up perfectly without some sort of method -- I think you can set delays in pTunes or TCPMP to get the audio and video to match up pretty closely).
This only works with a certain TCPMP plugin (Don't remember which one), and when I tried it, it didn't work (I may have used a newer WMV file). Not entirely sure on the procedure, but someone managed to get it to work.

Easiest way is to drop it in your QuickInstall and sync it to your card. Automatically converts it to a viewable format. That's the quick and dirty way.
Best way would be to use something like WinMPG to convert the WMV into a format that plays nice with TCPMP.

Where does the converted file finish up? I'd rather copy it to a card via a card reader than by Hotsync cradle/cable.

I don't think this method would convert it.
However, I read that Ptunes 4.5 on the 700p plays wmvs. Alternatively, I use ffmpeg to convert them. It only works on some... Maybe it's the older codec?!?
They end up as mp4s.
Jamerican has a website that explains it all too.
