View Full Version : Palm T3 TCPMP Full Screen Setting
Hi,
Is there a way to view videos full screen (landscape) on the Palm T3?
I pretty much tried every combination in setting and I can not get it to work.
Your replies are greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Yup. :) And if you use the tweak settings, you can take out the white border. I think this user may be used to PPC's because the 240x320 screen automatically rotates it for you. No point in watching vids at 240x240, right? :D
Thanks for the quick response!
I will try it when I go home this afternoon.
Hi,
I tried rotating the screen to the landscape mode then launch TCPMP. The video was still in portrait mode. Any ideas? I'm currently using version 0.71.
Could you guys tell me what your preferences for video is?
Again, thanks for all the responses.

That should do it. Download the latest from the website. Rotate it in TCPMP. Then, open the file and tap on the screen in the middle. It should turn up fullscreen and in landscape.

In v.71, if you go to prefs, there are three options posted on the bottom of the screen. General, Video, and Audio. If you tap Video, it brings up the video options panel. at the top left is a setting labeled GUI, below that are some options for zoom and rotate. Set your rotate to "follow GUI" and the zoom to "Fit Best." To the right of these settings, it is labeled full. Set zoom under this heading to "Fit Best" and rotate to whichever setting you want to use. I use "Land Rev" because I prefer to have the 5-way under my right thumb when I am hloding the palm in landscape. Or you could set it to follow GUI, so that it just does whatever your PDA is set to for landscape. HTH
This is really odd. My setting is exactly like what collumb described and I also updated the TCPMP the the latest version. I just can not get it to display full screen! The screen area that normally has the collapseable Graffiti input (in protrait mode) just refuse to display video. It doesn't matter how I set the setting, it is just black, as if the screen is only 320x320. Oh well, this sucks.
Thanks for all the reponses. I guess I will just watch video at 320x320.

Well, backup all of your important information and programs and do a hard reset. Reinstall everything and try it again.

As you are using a T3, make sure somewhere on your palm are the files AppSlipRotate and StatusBarLib. It sounds as though they might be missing. Does anything else work in landscape mode?

collumb,
I used Filez to check my T3's ROM and I have both files (AppSlipRotate and StatusBar).
Everything else works in the landscape mode except TCPMP. It's really frustrating but it's cool. I don't plan on watch a lot of video on the T3. The battery isn't that good anyway.
Also, as Romeol suggested, I did a hardrest but it doesn't work. Again, thanks for all the resposes.
Thanks,

You could always check the forums at www.corecodec.com to see if they have a fix...

I too have the same issue and I still cannot get it to use the whole screen. Kinoma uses the whole screen as do ALL other applications - but not TCPMP. I really want to get this to work - any other ideas?
Thanks
