With the imminent release of the CF Driver, can you guys give me some advice as to which type of compact flash cards will work with the driver and my NX60? are there different types of CF cards?
I live in Britain and own an American Clie, so can I buy a CF card here (england) knowing it will work? Also if I do buy it from america, are there any good deals on the cards that you can recommend? is there a size limit? etc.
Please HELP!

Yes there are some differences in cards.
There are ones that are Lexar USB enabled and then there are the Sandisk Ultra's.
It should work with all, but which is most adventageous has yet to be determined.

Stick with cheap and common.
While there are different makes if they are generally the same then the cheapest will be fine.

I think when the driver is released, they'll also release a listing of supported CF Cards. Then I would just do a price search of those cards and buy the cheapest. They're always readily available.

Right and most of the standard CF cards should work :).

Not all CF are created alike. Many of the real cheap ones are not as fast as the more expensive ones. This might be a moot point for the Clie's interface but it does come into play with high end digital cameras like the Canon 1Ds, Nikon D1H etc.
As usual the people stuck in Europe have to pay more for the same CF cards. The cheapest I could find a 1 gb for was about 300 euro's. So I guess I will have to buy a 512 mb. Does anyone know if a type I CF would work in the NX? I always thought it could only use type II, but I want to be sure.

Thanks for the suggestions timw_de.
I have never ordered anything from ebay (I assume you mean the US ebay.com)before. Do you have any experience with ordering anything from there.

My German isn't sufficient enough to understand everything. Tried putting it through babelfish, but it wasn't quite clear how much the shipping would be to the Netherlands.

Additionally, CF cards can vary considerably in power consumption, so there maybe tradeoffs.

Yeah they do, but no c1 gb CF cards to be found there. I tried ebay.com and found a Transcend 1 GB (with free worldwide shipping):

Sounds reasonable, but I'm always a little hesitant to buy from ebay.

The effort is appreciated :)
Did Eruware omit the 512 mb Viking Solutions CF card by mistake or does that not work? eCost.com has a pretty good deal going on right now. 512 for $90, 1GB for $180.

The cards tested are what the beta testers had owned. How would EruWare test anything otherwise. A small company can't afford to buy hundreds of CF cards.
All CF cards tested worked!

I have a sandisk 1 gig, works great, emailed to Nolan, I suppose it will show up on the supported cards soon...

Hi Greg!
Question, were you able to use MS Import on the CF card? If so, how did you do it? It has generated some interest in another user group and has left some puzzled.
Thanks, Larry
