That Black Tie edition is pretty sweet and very rare. I can see how it would be the grand prize.

Awwwwww i'm under age :(I'm about 10.5 months away from being 18. That means I can finally stop lying about my age when 5/22 comes around again.

Telus, Bell and Solo are all CDMA providers. Hell, CDMA is more common in Canada than GPRS. (Rogers/Fido is the only GPRS provider in Canada at the moment)

Well yeah, but is there such a thing as unlocked CDMA that you can use, say, with Telus?
Btw Telus and Bell have the 650 for $99 with a 3-year contract...NUTS. But oh well, I like my unlocked/unbranded ex-Cingular 650 on Rogers. :p

Yes. You just have to have it activated with the provider of your choice, which requires a little more effort than just swapping a SIM. You can have it done at your nearest phone center.

Cool! You learn something new everyday. :)
Too bad the phone will be useless everywhere else on the plane with them and their SIM cards. :p

Meh. I'm on Rogers, and sort of prefer it that way -- I'd rather a SIM so I can easily buy a new GPRS phone and just swap the SIM out. That's why I bought my Treo. :)

Yeah, much more convenient when you're running around the globe on business/pleasure/world domination tours. Yay Rogers! :D
I want to win that Black Tie though...hahah just because it looks so cool! :D
