I've read posts on this forum that suggest that using the patched FAT32 driver on the T3 will allow a 4GB SD top be read (can't write to it).

I am unable to make that work. Has anyone else had success doing this on a T3?

I tried my friend's and that didn't work, but hey, I've got 5 2GBs and 2 1GBs, so I'm not too worried about needing a 4GB. :D

Ive got a 4GB. I am just waiting for CorePlayer mobile to come out so I can put my collection on it.

I believe some people have successfully done this, so you might want to keep on trying. Just remember that some of the pre installed programs might not be designed to work with that much memory (This is a problem on Clies, the media player doesnt work with Fat32 cards).

Read the really, really long thread where everyone seems to say the same thing.
1) The FAT32 driver can be loaded into the T3
2) The driver will allow you to READ ONLY a card that is 2GB or larger from the T3
3) You CANNOT WRITE to the card from the T3

In other words, use the 2GB or larger card as a mass storage card to load into your T3, but don't bother trying to write databases etc out to it.

OS version maybe. The T3 isnt exactly the newest device out there. Thanks for the correction.

I read the very long thread you mentioned Yorrick. What I can't seem to find is anyone who has successfully read data from a 4GB SD card on a T3 (mine is a Transcend 4GB SD card).

I have read data from my 2GB SD card.

Will anyone step forward and say they have used a 4GB SD card with a T3?

If so, please explain how, exactly, it was done.

My son has been using my T3 with a FAT formatted 2gb card for games. Can only read, of course. For fun, I loaded the FAT 32 patch on it just now. The T3 still reads the 2gb card, but it wants to format my brand new Transcend 4gb card. Of course, it fails in the formatting. The T3 sees the 4bg card, but, for me at least, it can't seem to read it. So, it didn't work for me, either. (Oh well, the 4gb card was for my LD anyways!) Maybe someone else will have better luck!
