HELP! Screen is behaving strangely

My Z71 --used as a remote control nowadays- suddenly started behaving in a weird way. At first, the app selected for use as the fav button started launching all by itself after a few seconds of turning on the palm, then the find dialog started appearing and now it sometimes refuses to accept my taps on the screen!!

Does anyone knows what's going on here?

Any fixes?

Sounds like you have either a bit of screen protector or some dirt/debris between the screen and the case that is pressing on a user inaccessible portion of the digitizer. Try removing screen protector. If that doesn't help, fold the corner of a piece of copier paper to form a small scoop and go around the edge of the screen, no more than 2mm, to dislodge and scoop out whatever might be trapped there.

Thanks for the advice Dick but it seems the digitizer just decided to call it quits!

I took it apart to clean the whole surface but nothing seemed to work, the digitizer behaved worst as time went by so I finally did replace it with another digitizer that was supposed to be dead --or at the very least faulty- and guess what? It works like a charm!

I'll try the recently deceased digitizer on another Palm to see if it works better there.
