Problem beaming! Help!!!

i met my friend who got his new t665 just now, and tried beaming him stuff, but i keep getting this message: could not find a receiving handheld computer. and the weird thing is, if i try really try beaming to nothing, it would keep searching for some time before it stops, whereas when we put my friend's t665 in front of it, it immediately gave that message. it did work twice, but i tried many times and mostly it didn't. i could receive beams, and my clie rmc works just fine. this is the first time i actually tried beaming with my nx, could the problem be an isolated case, or is there something seriously wrong with it? ideas anyone?

This has been a common problem with the NX's, sometimes a soft reset cures it. There were other models like the NR70 that needed an updated driver found on the Sony support site.

hmm...i did try soft resetting, it worked once, then stopped working again...my nx already has the system patch update...is there no other cure for it?

when I had that problem I had to soft reset BOTH devices. It has worked ever since...but just don't ask why.

I had a problem @ the Sony Metreon in San Fransisco, CA. They have the map of the Metreon set up for download at IR stations, and I for the life of me, soft resert after soft reset, couldn't get this to work, so yeah there may be a problem, communicating with older devices.
