Can someone please confirm wether or not the gamegear emulator will also play master system games? The two systems were actually identical in hardware and in software, and I would love to be able to have games from both systems on my clie.

I think the gamegear included a so-called compatibility mode for MS games, so you could run them using an adaptor. However, a compatibility mode makes no sense on a system, where speed is a major issue, like when using an emulation.

I didn't test it. Maybe it works, however I would not have included the compatibility mode if I was Sega. Anyway, just try. The worst thing that could happen to you would be a hard-reset, so do a backup first.

Actually I do believe Sega did not intend for people to play their old collection of MS games, the adapters were not made by any official company. It just happens to be that the games ARE the same.

The adaptor was manufactured and sold by Sega, at least in Germany.

Basically yes, but we won't do it. You have to do it yourself

yeah, I understand, I don't even have a palmos device anymore, I'm just addicted to CS, but back in the day I knew how to use PWPatcher Lite very well :)
