Hi...
As title... what's the difference between them? Are they the same? What are they, files with config info of the apps?
Thanks.

I think in a nutshell, Saved Prefs are your application settings including registration codes etc while Unsaved Prefs are usually a recall of your last state in an application eg viewing state. I hope someone else can give you a more complete and technical explanation. It is safe to delete your Unsaved Prefs but don't mess with Saved Prefs unless you know what you are doing. HTH.

I read somewhere now that Saved Prefs get synched back and forth to the PC, while unsaved stay in the LD...
Is that so?

That is true with the default setup. The only reason for this is that the backup bit is set on the Saved Preferences, but is unset on the Unsaved Preferences. A utility, such a FileZ, can easily change this bit.
