Times up! offering it to Mr Graccia, Kyocera smartphone by sprint with a flip down key pad. Uniquely has a grafiti section so it it touchpad sensitive. Hmm I wonder how much it is in postage?

New edit: Sending to Germany via special method. Three devices for less than $10. My next question is how long will it take?

Well I arbitrarily offered it to Owl. Maybe if you haggle with him, he'll send it to you with the PalmVIIx. I hope you won't fight over it and become less friendly to each other...afterall you did vouch for him...

Hi,
owl already has the unit in his collection - so no interest to fight there.
In case of conflict, he should take the priority...he has the bigger collection and I have just 7 PDAs or so =).

Well three devices are on their way. I even threw Dan T in the mix since I need a tri tipped screwdriver. Probably he (owl)can answer your Kyocera charging problem.
Hmm, I wonder how people store their many devices by charging them rotation wise or let them run down? Of Course the Palm VII are power hungry and I guess he'll leave it batteryless...Oh well looks like this Thread is dead now....

Hi,
to be honest, I store my devices in a powered down state. The Vii prototype rarely sees a battery, and the other units are let run down and then stored away safely...

I charge all my PDAs once a month - I don't like it to let them run down, they die to easily and you never know how long you can get replacement batteries :-(
Had the problem once with a Qualcomm PDQ that was unopened and unused since it left the factory. Took me quite a while to resurrect the battery..... Don't want to go through that again :(
The VII(x) and the i705 have additional internal batteries for the wireless stuff that get charged via the "normal" batteries. So I bought "Belkin Recharger" Kits (a dual-AA-rechargeable battery-kit) to keep my VII and my VIIx happy.
BTW: the i705 has the lowest self-discharge while in standby of any Palm I've ever seen! You can leave it alone for several months and power isn't even hafway down....
