View Full Version : Anyone tried pairing the SonyEricsson K750i with the UX50?
Hi,
I am on the verge of purchasing a Sony Ericsson K750i mobile phone. One of the main uses with be pairing it with my UX50.
Has anyone had any success / horrors with this? Please let me know.
Thanks
Bizt
I haven't had any luck with my K700i and my UX50/G, says phone does not support operation or something. Maybe you'll have better luck with your K750 ;)
I might be able to try it with my father's K750 when he gets home.
Just found a post where someone has their K750i paired with the UX50:

So, at least its possible. Ive asked if any problems were encountered.

I got a W800i which is nearly the same thing and I got a lot of SE cellphones. I never had troubles with SE phones (perhaps a bit harder with Px00 but it's another story ;) ).
What do you want to do with it?
SMS, GPRS, photo exchange?
email over GPRS mainly. Ive got a SE T610 and I downloaded a driver for it that I installed on my UX50 (although it seemed to work just as well without the driver).
T610 pairs up no problem. I did have some trouble figuring out how to configure the UX to make a connection but I assume that I can just keep the same settings using a different trusted device and change the CID number. So long as I can pair the two that should be enough (right?).

The configuration should be exactly the same, perhaps indeed the CID will change but the rest sould remain unchanged :)

I used the Mobile Connection Wizard when setting up my W800i (which is identical to the K750i except for the bundled software and plastic shell), and had no problems at all. On the phone side, I had Sony send a configuration for my provider (T-Mobile) directly to my phone. The only manual step was looking up the proxy server in the phone's config and adding that to Netfront.

ok, I'll post what I sent via PM this morning.
I installed the latest phone drivers from Sony http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/sw...d=1361&os_id=15
I wasn't sure exactly what you needed, so I just thought I would start with the obvious.
Under Prefs > Bluetooth
Enable Bluetooth, tap on trusted devices, tap add device. Make sure the bluetooth is on on the K750i and follow the prompts from there.
Now under Prefs > Connection
tap Sony BT to GSM and edit
Connect to: Phone
Via: Bluetooth
Tap to find the K750i
Model: Generic GSM Ph.
I just left the Details... section alone
tap ok.
Now under Prefs > Network
:command: n (new service)
Service: K750i (or what ever)
now the rest depends on what phone service you have.
My settings for Cingular are:
User Name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR
Connection: Sony BT to GSM
Phone: *99***1#
Details...
Connection type: PPP
Idle timeout: 1 Minute
Query DNS (x)
IP Address: (x) Automatic
The 1 in *99***1# is for the location of your data comm. account on your phone. Default is #1
That can be found at Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Data comm. > Data accounts
My first one is Cingular GPRS.
Hope this helps you.

Hi,
Yesterday I tested "Bluetooth" with k600i. It works. I send SMS from my UX50 throw k600i by bluetooth. But I did not test with Infarot.
