Well...I'm patiently waiting for my new TG50 to finish charging, but I was wondering if it is okay to turn it on during it's first charge. My Treo 90 (which only took 90 minutes to do it's first charge, not 4 hours!!) Turned on as soon as I supplied power to it. I could have fun whilest waiting for the first charge. I want to turn it on, but I don't want to ruin the battery if I do. Help?
I believe right now your TG-50 should be fully charge. Anyway, I was charging and playing with it at the same time when I first got it. I don't have the patient to wait, just play!!

How do I like it so far? A truly loaded question, but here goes.
The quality and build of the unit is amazing. I love the screen and the backlit thumboard is wonderful. The unit is surprisingly slim and still slides away into my pocket, though isn't doesn't disappear into my pocket the way my Treo did...The flip cover is nicely built and has that wonderful snap when it shuts, lightyears better than the one on the Treo..and I don't really miss the window or having the buttons accessible because all that did was turn on my Treo when it was in my pocket, something I don't miss.
Now for the not-so-goods. MP3 playback is mediocre at best. Despite what I was hoping for the popping and fuzz in the background is quite noticeable, and, while I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem, I hear a faint beep while playing MP3s in the background. It's only really apparent during soft pieces, but it is in perfect sync with the memorystick light, every couple of seconds, and annoying! ARGH! This is a big worry for me considering that one of the main reasons for purchasing this unit was for MP3s. The lack of remote is a bit of a hassle but I feel it is something I could live with, using in-line remotes and a few well crafted playlists. The background noise on the otherhand, I'm not sure if I can live with that. Does anyone know if the NX series has the background noise problem?
The screen is beautiful, the backlight thing in the bottom is noticeable if you look for it, but compared to the bright corner on the Treo, it's nothing at all. Movie playback was wonderfully smooth and the sound was amazing, though I can't seem to get the Matrix Reloaded trailer to play...wierd. It's a .mov file and I use the Image Converter program to convert it and put it on my Clie. This program works wonderfully for other movies I've tried, but not with this one. I've tried starting with different resolutions but they all don't work. When I hit play it just skips to the end and if repeat is on I get stuck in a loop I can't get out of without restarting the whole unit....suggestions?
So yeah. It's a nice unit, but the MP3 noise has me bugged to the point that a NX is looking rather tempting....

I too had a problem with the Matrix Reloaded trailer, tho I have a T615, the trailer would play(a little choppy as most things play with Gmedia) however the sound simply woul not play. Itried two different methods, install on MS, and on Internal, and neither time would the audio work.
Before anybody comments, Yes I do have the music adapter and it was plugged in so, that is not the problem.
I hope to get my TG50 soon!!! The Bluetooth sold me on it, that and my mother fell in love with my 615, so ill be upgrading soon!!

Hey All!

They have lots of ways to fix the problem. Good luck!
