What can be done to prevent williams04 from constantly posting his advertisements? I can't imagine anyone would actually buy from the guy. If he has to resort to posting the way he does, he must not be very credible, or successful

Well, you can make it so you have to enter a code to post a thread (the one with an image next to it and you have to enter the text on the image). :)

That just verifies that a person is actually doing the posting, instead of some script doing it. I think someone is doing it manually. Who knows... maybe there is a script doing that.

It seems like alot of trouble for nothing in return. Who here is stupid enough to buy from this guy?

Just report the post as bad (but do not reply - it only encourages them). A mod will hopefully be along soon to ban the jack***** and remove the posts.

The little pictures and codes are a good start. I used to run another site and it was always bombarded with weird users signing up and posting junk. Ugh. I feel sorry for the bloke who has to clean up that mess. :p

Tell me about it. I usually spend an hour a day deleting comment spam. I love and hate PHP. :) :mad: :D

Edit: Maybe others will have an opinion, but has anyone else noticed a large increase int the amount of spam in comment systems and forum sites lately?
