It seems that the phone drivers are only for OS4.1 and the NZ...anybody here with a NX70V/t68i and sucessfully make them do stuff together (SMS, internet, etc.)
I did a search already. :)

I dunno. All I know is that you'll have to find a bluetooth memory stick and then get the english drivers for it. Which last time I heard didn't exist. That was a LONG time ago though. And I remember reading somewhere that you can get some overseas drivers (like Japanese or Korean or something like that) to work with your english NX70, although you'll get mixed results. This is all heresay though, don't take my word for it. Google it up, see what you can get.

I have the NX70V and the T68i. I also have the Bluetooth memory stick. I use Snappermail to check my e-mail and WebProv to surf the web. I use T-mobile service here in the U.S. I pay $20 per month for 10 megabytes of data transfer. I turn the graphics off on the browser and the 10 meg is plenty.
I would suggest that you contact your cellular carrier to get assistance with the setup of the bluetooth. There are specific dialing instructions that are required. It was not easy to get the setup correct on the device, but once it is set it works great.

I too have an NX70V a ms bluetooth and a t86i and have had an unsuccessful time of connecting to AT&T; I get "GPRS parameters not supported" when I try to connect. Does anyone have a successful connect script I have searched and searched the boards (wireless also) to no avail. If anyone connects can they provide some assistance? I will also try any scripts for other providers to narrow the problem down. The script appears under setting -> prefs -> network -> details -> script. Thanks in advance for help or advice.

This is what I use to connect to AT&T using my NX70 and T68i via infrared ( I don't have a bluetooth card for my Clie...yet). Try replacing "via: infrared" with "via: bluetooth". The most non-intuitive thing about this setup is the need to use windows RAS...go figure. I discovered this on ClieSource some months ago.
Under edit connection-
connect to: modem
via: infrared
dialing: touchtone
volume: low
(details)
speed: 115k
flow ctl: automatic
Under Network-
service: windows RAS
username: blank
password: blank
connection: select the connection you just made above
phone: *99***1#
(details)
connection type: PPP
idle timeout: never
query DNS: is checked
IP address: is checked (automatic)

Thanks for the reply, it appears some people have gotten bluetooth to work with those settings, I have seen this before also but it dosen't work for me?
My research has led me to believe it is a script issue.

you dont need to use windows ras for a BT connection just create a new network connection
you do need to use an init string with it too.. for the T68i, i use "ATZ"
i love the bt functionality... now if i could only get a data service here.. i have to use my wap service at present but this means i cant send or receive attachments with my mail.. but i can still browse the web :)
i just managed to get my clie to accept pics from my T68i (and the pc)that is cool.. just cant send em from the clie :(
dont know if it is a driver issue or lack of the appropriate SW

Thanks for the replies. Can I do anything about the address book in the t68i and the NX? Is there any problems that I can sync them with?

This may sound stupid, but are you SURE you have a data enabled plan that allows you to connect with data services.

I notice that you list your location as Toronto. Are you on Rogers wireless? If so, you will need to get the internet.com APN activated on your phone to allow full Internet access. The default is to only have the WAP APN (goam.com) enabled which is filtered to only allow WAP traffic through. You should be able to activate it though their web page; let me know if you need help finding the option.

No i mean sync the address book in the NX with the address book in the t68i (not Outlook). Is there anyway to do that for the NX?
Reminder: I have a t68i and a NX70V. Not a TG50 or NZ90 with built in Bluetooth. Not a NR with with OS4.1
THanks a lot!

i have a T68i and the NX70v and use my wap service here in Egypt and back in the UK , never tried it in the US as i didnt have the BT MS when i was in the US
i installed the updated drivers for the BT stick
set up a connection to my T68i in prefs
then
set up a connection to my wap service in prefs
it works flawlessly tho a little bit slower than a noraml service of course but i turned of pics and animations in netfront and it is a damn site quicker now
if you want i can give you a list of all the BT files i have on my clie as well as my set up procedures for network and connections

dtemplar, I just beamed the contacts I need on the phone from the NX70V to the T68i - via Infrared. Just go to the options on the T68i and turn on the Infrared receiption, then select an address and beam it to the phone. Works like a charm. And no BT involved.

Is there a way you can do this faster than 1 at a time? Like tha whole phone book?

Chriz,
hey thanks, it works. I never knew a t68i can talk to the clie as simple as that. I can now beam contacts from the t68i to the clie through infrared and bluetooth, and beam contacts from clie to t68i through infrared (but not bluetooth) using the method you described. Thanks again!!

In that case, you should already have the internet.com APN activated and you should be able to access the internet using that.
What do you have set as the phone# to dial on the TT? Is it the same on your NX? The NX may be trying to use the wrong data account on your phone. If that's the case, then we can fix it.
The page for activating the internet.com APN is at www.rogers.com -> sign in -> Manage Wireless Services -> Update Wireless Options -> "Please Select:" All Services -> Go -> Miscellaneous: Internet.com APN (check the checkbox).
The title is really funny:
I would suggest phoning with the NX and PIM organizing with the T68i. LOL. Okay enough..
A question to all the Bluetoothies:
I have plenty of apps -all necessary- such documentations, spreadsheets and so on. I need at least 1MB free RAM. How do I access my documents while I am sending them via BT? I can only select the MS or the BT. Isn't that a hazzle?
I would happily change back to BT if someone could help me out...

Yupp...... that guy lost me there as well... ;)
Okay. Fact is: you can't have both BT and Memorystick doesn't mix. I.e. if I want to access a LAN or the internet via BT I can't download files larger thanmy internal memory. Despite my storage the PALM does only accept certain files. No .exe for instants. So I need an external device to store these files. This is my MS.
So again:
How do I solve this issue? I need to switch the MS against BT and I have no storage capacity. This is stupid. So there is no use for me.

and this has what to do with utilising a T68i and NX70v? (thread title)
but to answer your query about docs and spreadsheets... docs to go is a good utility that you can sync via BT, and they create very small files.
In fact it has. I am questioning the usability of an external BT stick, don't I? Maybe I have to refresh my English for better understandment..

no i understand the limitations with a BT MS, but i researched before i bought and had an understanding of what it basically was capable of.. it even surprised me with some extra stuff, i never felt the need to download .exe files i have a pc for that..but i accept your frustration of the meagre usability, it is very poor compared to my BT donlge on the pc, and i will be first in line if they ever get a CF BT card supported and sorted :)

I wonder if you could use the bluetooth memory stick and use a CF card with the new Eruware drivers for storage.

i believe that you can as long as you are not utilising the MS masquerading feature :(.. but i did read somewhere (cliesource) that someone had found a way around this.. .. im goin to have a look
