Hello,

Just a few weeks ago I bought a second hand UX50 which was in french language .... I had to remove the old battery and replace with a new one ...
After that I wasn't able to return to french language ....
I suppose ther eis a way to make a Hard Reset to select this ...
But how the hell to do ?
Thanks for any answer

Yours

Jo

For hard reset, press and hold Blue+PgUp and during hold, reset on the back of the unit (I don't know whether this will get you back to French, though)

Hi Kappa ! You're right, after a hard reset on european UX you can choose E/G/F.

An easier way to choose a language is to donwload localize (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/localize.shtml). Just run it and choose between English/German/French. No need to hard reset.

Dipching, si tu veux des explications en français, n'hésite pas à demander. ;)

Well this is not exactly the answer because this way nothing is initialized or deleted .... and you don't have access to the language selection ...

I have found again the soluce by myself :
You have to keep the ON/OFF button pressed (in HOLD position) and press the RESET button as long as the starting LED (green) flashes .... and that's it !
The computer even ask to you if you really want to delete all the files ...

Well DONE !

Sorry-sorry, you're right, was too quick in replying (doing it from work). The power button is the hard reset, the one I wrote the warm reset that avoids launching some apps (e.g. skinners, font managers, etc.)

Sorry, dipching!
