I have a question, my gamecontroller utility shows that each button corresponds to the hardware buttons (IE A=Todo, B=Memo). Is this the case? Can I use the game controller to replace my hardware buttons premanently, like when I am not playing games?
Was the older utility (<OS5) different in that it didn't emulate the keys? Because I keep hearing that most games wont work with the controller at all.
BTW-The gamecontroller has as many buttons as the Gamegear, so if sega ever releases Sonic for clie, we might be able to use the controller for a more accurate experience.
I have a TG in case you were wondering which OS I was running.

So, I see that the game controller works with the regular buttons such as ToDo and Address. Does it work with the special buttons that the TG has, Home and Graffiti?

I had a ton of problems with the game controller, until I configured it properly. In the program only the top option should be checked, not the bottom one. Now it will work with all games.

You shouldn't tap key emulation? Why?

None of my OS5 games worked with it checked. They all work with it unchecked.

But answer me please, if you are in the launcher and you press B, will the memo pad pop up?

No.
When it was enabled, when I hit 'b' in the games memo pad would pop up...

This isn't really all that difficult...
If emulation is/was on...it would emulate the memo pad and such even during the game.
If it is off the game works, but it doesn't open memo pad.
Basically, you need to turn emulation off everytime you want to play a game.
I cant really see someone using the controller all the time, it is rather large.

Uhm, I own that thing. I know what it does and what it does not. However I couldn't make any sense of the the posts in here.
The gamepad offers three modes:
1.)Disabled: Guess what, everything works as usual.
2.)Gamepad (without key emulation) The gamepad will issue a button press to the current program, but block launching an application. This way you can play every games which check for a real buttonpress (Hardware/OS), but not those which check for the command to launch an application and block the request at that level (Software). Generally, about 98% of all games will work in this mode. However using the buttons to change applications is not possible. However, JogDial emulation is possible, so you can use that to navigate through your launcher. There is one little bug in the driver, which causes problems with timing in some games (too fast). These games will only function normally if you unplug the gamepad.
3)Gamepad enabled, Key-emulation enabled. This will make games work which check for keypresses on software level (~2%) . There is a problem however, which makes use in about half the games which capture keypresses at OS level impossible. Since the keypress doesn't come from the hardbuttons, they will be unable to prohibit the controller from really launching an application. This mode is not recommend.
Comment: I've come to like this thing as it reminds me of my old T615. It's great for playing games, and the problems wth different settings for different applications can easily be solved by mapping the controller app to a long press on the rec button.
Hope this post makes more sense
