about how long are fish pregnant for in fish tycoon?

fish have to be age 20 to get pregnant. If you dont want to wait that long, close your game, open your PC's clock (bottom right) and change the time 2 hours ahead, then open your game again and your fish will be older.

keep in mind that actual elapsed time varies depending on the game speed you set it to. AFAIK, a 5 hour jump in fast mode can be considerably more time than 4 hours in slow speed mode.

Another peril to watch out for.... be careful when jumping ahead past midnight. Some folks have inadvertantly set ahead 29 hours rather than just 5 hours
