I've downloaded the modified SCSI driver from Jamerican but can't install it, I keep getting a "read-only" error. Once I was able to overcome it but now I've lost all infos. I need a step by step for dummies guide, please someone help me!

dont sync the file.
put it on your ms or internal media then copy it to rum with filez, reset your device and you have it.

Will this REALLY work? I kept getting overwrite errors while doing it by copying (never synced)....

Don't know about Filez, but Resco Explorer will let you overwrite read-only files for sure.
BTW - Be warned that you won't be able to connect your device to anything inferior than Windows XP. Not even Windows 2000 has the right drivers for the new emulation (Sony USB Floppy), and I couldn't find such drivers anywhere on the net (I'd like to be proven wrong though!)
