I have found a memory stick that I am going to purchase for use with my Sony Clié SJ33. Before I purchase I wanted to find out how to get data from my PC to the memory stick. Is there an accessory I need to purchase that will connect the PC to the stick directly? Please advise.
Thanks.

All you need to do is stick the memory stick in the Clie and then hotsync but make sure that you install the file to MS rather than Handheld. I'm not sure what you need to do if you want to use a non palm based file.

I bought the SJ-33 recently.
The transfer of any (also non-palm) files works with an extra software on both Clié and PC. It's called "MS Export" on the PC and "MS Import" on the Clié (funny, heh). The PC program is actually just a driver, which lets the Clié's Memory Stick (MS) act as a virtual drive.
So what you have to do, once you've installed the software (on the Clié it's pre-installed):
- Connect the USB cable between PC and Clié
- launch MS Import on Clié
- manage files from the PC (Windows usually pops up a window automatically).
What I'm still trying to find out is how it could be possible to send .JPG (or whatever else) files onto the MS via Infrared port... Ideas?
Cheers,
Charles
Check ExBox (http://palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=03C08A86-27C3-4F5D-B53D1A00925D90FA&prodID=38737) for beaming in/out .jpg or non-palm files to/from Clie RAM (not to/from MS, unfortunately) from/to other device. The developer is supposedly working on doing this straight from/to MS.
CfZap (http://www.mulliner.org/palm/cfzap.php) is supposedly can intercept (receive) .jpg file from other device and send the file straight to your MS. I haven't tried this, but have read other member can, as shown in this thread (http://www.cliesource.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=9582).

CfZap works fine. Thanks!!
that's exactly what I searched for. It can receive any files (you have to tell it what files to accept) and stores them in a folder on the MS. Finally i can easily send JPGs taken from websites on my SJ33! I use YiShow (http://www.yibing.net) to expore the MS and view JPGs.
