Going Insane w/ Zlauncher

Ok, I just installed Zlauncher and cannot get it going. When I try to open it, it says, "No available theme for this device! Please install at least one theme which matches the device..." I have a couple themes on my computer but don't know what to do with them to get them working.. can anyone help me please.

It depends on what device are running. if you are running an NX/NZ (or NR might be the same) you want to install the skin that says something about Sony_64k in the filename.

Like I said in an earlier thread, you should include the type of device you have;)

The .zip file has some themes in it. I believe you have to install them with zLauncher. Checkout http://www.zztechs.com/download/ZLHelp.zip

AquawoodSony_64k should be in there somewhere

I installed it to handheld but when i go to open zlauncher, i get the same error. do i have to put the .prc file somewhere else. install it somewhere else? i have no clue thanks

Unzipp it.

Go into SonyHR Folder

Install ZLauncherSonyHR

Go into Theme Folder

Install AquawoodXP_Sony

Go into BackImage Folder

Install the file from the BackImage Folder...Catsomething something

I am very confused. Right now i have ZLT_BlueSpirit_OS5_64K, how do I install that? where is the SonyHR folder? I don't see any of this. Thank you

There are no folders. And you can't use anything that has OS5 in it's title. Find a skin that reads about everything lowres, cliehighres, blackwhite, greyscale 256 color, highcolor, just not OS5. Doubleclick it in your explorer, hotsync, done.

Trick - when I installed zlauncher I had to follow their help file line by line. It's different from other launchers I had used, so I really had to load it up one file at a time. Go into the install manual and verify file by file what you've installed.

I did that and it's the only thing that got me up and running the first time. good luck

ohh ok. well.. i got it going now :) so many options! wow, i can tell this will keep me busy for quite a few hours. Is there anyway I can have the full version without buying it or has everyone boughten it? Now I don't think I will ever go back to the original launcher that my clie came with. lol

I think i was confused because i only downloaded the zlauncher.prc file, not the .zip from zztechs.com. i always get an error when trying to d/l the zip folder..

Another question that has arrised... When I make a back image, the pics that I use are usually too big, so about half of the picture get's cut off. Is there any way of formatting the picture or adjusting it so it will fit the screen size of my NX?

I actually thought that ZL automatically resizes so that the whole pic is showing. Maybe someone else could confirm or deny this. I actually use PhotoShop and just resize them to 320X480 so that they take up as little space as possible.

ZL crops the image, not resize. And it'll tile images that's smaller than the screen size.

I use IrfanView (free!) to change the size of my image.

I would use Photoshop for this but I have 2 partitions and I rarely use my windows one (only for my clie) so i don't have much room to install that big of a program. I installed irfanview however and it works nicely. Like acdsee but free :) Thanks

@Trick: ZLauncher is the best launcher available at the moment. You should not hesitate to buy it. The developers deserve the money for their great work.
The price is quite reasonable compared to other launchers..

I tried almost all of them and finally arrived at Zlauncher. My greatest disapointment was LauncherX (no active skins until today..).

Yea, I'll have my TV off that week. I haven't turned it on in about a month as it is. It no longer has much appeal to me. I only use it to watch DVD's and play the Gamecube.
