ZLauncher Categories?

Hi, I'm just checking out ZLauncher. I read the documentation from their site and checked the posts here and can't find the answers to 2 simple questions. Can anyone Help?
1. How do you change the name of an installed app? Ex. I want to change the name of DayNotez to Journal.
2. Can you change the order of the category tabs? I don't want them in alphabetical order.

To change the name of an installed app, go to the info screen (tap and hold, select info) highlight the name and put in what you want.
To change the order of category tabs, you can drag and drop, or the easiest way is to select "Tab Panel" under Options-ZLauncher Preferences, then tap the arrow for displaying the list of tabs. Then drag and drop them in the order you want.

Okay, so I tried to "tap and hold" on the application icon and all it does is open the application. By the way, this is on an NR70V. It doesn't come up with any info. And I tried to rearrange the category icons by "drag and drop" and that didn't work at all. I opened the ZLauncher prefs. and there is nothing called "Tab Panel". I installed according to the directions but could I have left something out? I installed from the file SonyHR (ZL prc. file) and I also installed one theme, which did show up. But I don't know what I am doing wrong. Help? Also, when I have the tool bar up on the bottom and I press the "Category" icon, nothing happens. Any help? Thanks, Cindy.

Go to your display setup, make sure Auto Popup Panel is selected. Now go to the app that you want to rename, tap-hold-drag that app to the bottom of your screen. Your popup menu will ""pop up" drag it to Info, then within there you can change the name. Be sure to Save your changes.

When you tap on an app icon and hold the stylus there for half a second (the default setting), a pop up menu appears with whole bunch of options, including Info. I suspect you're letting go of your stylus too early.

Tab Panel is the fourth check box on the right, below Lefty. As for dragging the tabs around, you can only drag the active tab. Dragging the inactive ones doesn't do anything.

Hi, if I changed the name of the apps with ZL, will it cause any conflicts with other stuff? Just worried...

It shouldn't, as long as you don't duplicate the name of another app. Palm OS app names are actually stored internally in the app executable file, along with its Creator ID and database type. AFAIK, changing the name in ZLauncher only changes it in ZLauncher's internal database, not in the app file itself.
