I've had a weird problem pop up.

I just recently got a MS Pro stick, so I installed the MS Pro patch available from the Sony Asia Pacific support site to get it to work.

While I was at it, I installed a bunch of NX patches that I never bothered to do till now, at the same time along with the MS Pro patch (CLIEVIEWER11E.PRC, CLIEFILES_ENUS.PRC, and the SYSUPDATEPACKNX_US.PRC for the NX and the NXPDT41.EXE for my desktop).

The good news is that MS Pro works great. The bad new is that there are a bunch of MP3 files that worked perfectly on the NX before now no longer works! WTH?!? Out of the 23 or so files I had on the old stick, only 16 now works.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

Did you try the US version patch that's out now?

Additionally, were you one of those who reformatted the stick?

Shogmaster,

Check that all the files are "enabled" if you haven't already.

Tap on the "Edit Playlist" button at the top right of the Audio Player app. It's an icon of a sheet of paper with a musical note.

Make sure that all the tracks are checked.

Total utter weirdness.

I didn't do a damn thing to my NX or the stick since posting this morning, and to try some of the suggestions I loaded the same files again to the stick just now. Guess what? NOW THEY WORK!!

W.......T......H!?!?!?!?!?!??

Oh well, no point in wasting time trying to figure this one out. Thanks for the advices anyways guys.

BTW Larry, there seems to be absolutely no difference between the MSPro driver from the Sony AP I installed and the new one at the US site. They both leave the same exact daughter files in the NX:

3452MSLib v2.10
Avx VFSSrc v1.1
CardInfo.prc v4.5s
FATFS v5.01
PXA250UsbLd v1.21
SCSILib v1.20
StatusBar v1.11

So if you've already installed the "MSProNX_enUS.PRC" from http://www.css.ap.sony.com, you don't have to bother with the "MSPRONX_ENUS.PRC " one from the US site.

Very good, one never knows, there is always the possibility of there being some differences, maybe in language or something.

He-he, the other night my MS Import worked before dinner and then quit after I had my dinner, maybe it's possessed...
