It works on NZ90 US Models as well and there is realy an improvment in batterylife. You can much more Pictures with flash then without the new patch.

Next Data: 45 pics one after another all with flash, rest battery power 33% after 5 min battery power goes back to 72 % on the normal Display (not in the Camara mode), more than 10 times improvement. Now its a usefull camara and not only a toy.
I think there is a new 2xZoom available with the Movie Recoder which i did't remember before ?

Rudolf from Switzerland (NZ90 is an US Version)

All good news but i have one little problem with the Cam1.1 Update:
I cannot delete the 1.0 version in RAM !
Now i have two icons on my launcher (Launcher X)....
When i hit the camera button on nthe upper left side it takes the right one (1.1) but it still bothers me to have two times the same app on my device - one in RAM and one in ROM
Any hints ?

Thanx

Strange, I just copied mine to the internal ram and after resetting it fired up beautifully. Positively work better..! Way to go Sony.

Now if they would make a auto-email option which would automatically e-mail each image captures to a pre-determined e-mail address (whenever a internet connection is available) I would be in Hog Haven... and that is not bad for a BMW rider.

This is a great improvement! Much less delay now and better battery usage.
After hotsync and reset, only the one Icon (v1.1) was there.

RudiJan CH

It seems that the 2 Icon problem is only seen with the XLauncher with the normal Sony launcher there is only one Icon. That happend with the Viewer and Files update as well.

These things are different to me. "Lens cover is closed" warning is now immediately displayed. I don't remember having the preview pane while in the "wrench/settings" mode. I rattled of 5-6 flash pics last night. Overall battery drain seemed much less. I don't see any startup time improvement. Single icon with Zlauncher.
Wonder why no US release?

Something that I would love to see, is an option
where pressing the CAPTURE button would NOT launch the camera app unless the lens cover was open as well.

this would prevent some of the accidental camera launches where you have to wait good x seconds before you can exit the thing...

:)

Before the CamS and Lib updates (European site) I was able to take only 7 high res (1600x1200) pics before the flash was disabled (battery life under 35%). After the update, took 105 1600x1200 pics successively with flash before reaching the 35% battery life threshold. Still I had 60% battery life left for rest of nz applications (other than camera/movie).

Awesome.

surely sounds awesome but what did you take the pictures of? Portraits or a shot of a whole group of people, or a architectual view? The further away the object is the more flash power you will need...

But still 105 is exceptional:cool:

This is what makes Clie Source so great. I just downloaded the update for my new NZ-90 which I received on Thursday. The camera is awesome but WOW does it eat up battery power. Hope this patch works as good as it sounds. Without this group how would one find this information, Former NX-60 owner now NZ-90 owner- the Nikon F-5 of PDA's!!!!!!! (built solid)

I had just tried to test my cam at 100% fully charge before I get the patch.
I was shock that I manage to shoot 45 shots (1600x1200) all with flash within 5 min and I still left 70% battery life. After I quit the cam program and launch other program for a min, it's bounded back to 93%!!

I was wonder is it because the battery had enough experience with the cam and work smarter (currently I got 17 cycles in my battery).

The preivous test was a month ago and at 4 cycles with about 10 shots with flash, I got warning that flash can't be use.

Or is it because I use it with MS Pro?
Yet one more thing to mention is I can have another shot while the MS Pro still saving the previous shots.

Anyone experience that too?

Battery life not much different. I'm thinking it's might be the battery itself got to recognise the usage with the Digicam. I'm not to sure whether I got 2x zoom in older version of moive mode. But version 1.1 got it!

So you enter camara mode with higher number on the battery meter.
