Does the T-665 have an audio/voice recorder? If not, what are the models that do?

thanks

I am wondering that as well. Also, what kind of storage space does it have for MP3s? how many songs? and will I have trouble synching it with my MAC, assuming i get missing synch, or course...

JWY is correct about the voice recorder. If you go with a Palm, the Tundsten|T also has voice recording.

As far as Mp3 goes...
Your Mp3 storage is on Memory Stick, so it depends on what size stick you use. on a 128meg stick I can put 2 cd's worth of music in near cd quality sound, (160kbps) if you go for a lower bit rate (128-96kbps) you can fit more. Most people consider 96kbps just about minimum accetable sound quality.

I've talked with people using a Mac with missing sync and they are very happy with how it performs. Of course, since Sony makes PCs, they don't go out of their way to support Mac. With Missing sync you'll be able to use the clie in it's cradle as a card reader, like you can on a PC, which is very nice for adding and deleting Mp3's as well as other files on the stick. It's many, many times faster than trying to add and delete Mp3's via HotSync.

Thanks...that's what I thought; I've got an NR and was debating with a friend which ones do/ don't have voice recording. I told him only the NX/Z and TG had it.

On my 128mb purple memory stick I get 3 hours of music with the songs ripped at 96kbs.

Only palm os 5 clies have the voice recorder capability.

I wish Sony could've invented a voice recording memory stick with a built-in 128MB memory embedded in it....

There actually was a voice recorder memory stick at one time in history; it was displayed at some new technology show several months ago. Unfortunately, it never made it to fruition. You could probably do a search on Yahoo and find out info on it.

Anyway, I bought the TG50 for the keyboard, but most importantly for the voice recording. The software is even better than that on the NX; you can change not only the recording speed (sp vs. lp) but also the sensitivity (high or low). If you need a voice recorder, the TG is a fantastic option.
