Hey Guys,

I just got a 256mb Memory Stick Pro for my NZ90 this week. I installed the drivers update from Sony's website. and everything worked as described. While I was transfering music files from my PC using MS Import. I've noticed a dramatic speed improvement when transfering large MP3 files and videos. Its' almost like 3 or 4 times as fast! (than a normal Memory Stick)

Do any of you MS Pro users out there noticed this speed difference?

No kidding.....I've never had a PDA and NZ90 is my first one as well so I didn't have anything to compare the data transfer rate onto my 1Gb MS Pro. I just finished transferring a 150Mb movie clip......it took only 9 minutes.

Definitely worth the arm and leg I paid for it (the MS Pro, that is... sob sob)

I had copy120MB data backup from MS to PC took me 5 mins but copy into 256 MS Pro it took me 8-9 mins.

I try using DSC F717 to copy it into 256 MS Pro with the same 120mb took less than 3 mins.

What a different huh!

I got mine from Ebay, from an Ebay Powerseller. I got the 256mb for 120 dollars. I saw the 1 gig one going for $510. Its pretty cheap on ebay actually, and they ship it to me in just 3 days. Oh yeah, shipping cost is like 6 dollars plus insurance. I strongly recommend you guys get it on ebay from any Powersellers, and don't trust anyone without a powerseller icon by their name unless they have 97% good feedback or higher.

1gig = $510
256 = $120

Get the 256 if you don't need THat much space, get the 1gig if you have a lot of money to throw. =)

In Australia the MS pro 1gig is 100 aussie dollars short of a NZ 90! Can you guys believe that??? One more thing... the NZ 90 over here is about 870 USD!

Strange... how is it that people can manage to sell the MS Pro's on ebay for so much less? I mean, didn't they have to buy them at full price too?

Makes me kinda suspicious, ya know?

Actually Ebay sellers don't have Best Buy like overhead, where they pay high rent, pay some CEO $30million/year, fancy corporate offices, etc. and they can still sell enough to get volumn discounts from the mfg.

And occasionally some fall off a truck.

Is the MSPro Driver Update for the European CLieNX70 aswell? The file is called MSPRONX_ENUS.prc. Does this mean it is for english models only?

nope, internet price is $65 + $6 shipping, he wanted $50 + $10... so close, I'll buy from a company where I have recourse.. no offense to him, but the few bucks cheaper was not a good business gamble..

They (Sony) say it is not, but I still loaded it onto my multilingual NZ and it works fine, BTW the same with the updated WIFI driver... the only thing is that the wireless connection setup speaks english now:p

Who cares, as long as it connects fine...

In Singapore you can get smartlithium for NZ at US$77.50.

But I don't really need it as I was able to charge at least once a day for my own usage.

Below is to share my style of usage on NZ90 :

1) 1-2 hours MP3 with reading news in webpages forms(handstory).(traveling in MRT-mass rapid transport)

2) About 2-3 hours usage with surfing net / emails and other appls like tinysheet / wordsmiths / ms dict / agendus / acidimages / webpro / snappermail / cameras without flash / voice recording / megacalc at my office or at sites.

3) 1-2 hours reading e books (isilo or handstory)before I go to sleep.

Hello YTTAN,

Where can you get the price you quoted in Singapore? I mean store name and location. I can't get anything closer than that in Malaysia... :p

Traveling from kl to Singapore will add to the cost as well. Anyway singapore is a great place to shop for stuff. Buy a MS pro and get SARS for free! LOL ;)
