There are a few things about the desktop applications that irk me and I thought there just might be solutions and answers here.
Q: Palm Quick Installer v1.1.2
Why is this on the desktop? Why is it designated as a System Folder? Is there some way to put this in the Program Files/Palm folderinstead of making a mess of my desktop?
Q: Palm folder on PC
All of the backups of the PDA are being stored inthe Program Files/Palm folder. Wehn we runt he tape backups it only picks up user data in the Documents section. Any way to reconfigure the Palm backup process to put the backups in a more sensible location?
Q: Palm Quick Installer v1.1.2
If you launch the Quick Installer on your desktop, go to Help/About... There is a System button on the bottom right. This takes you to an extensive inventory of your PC. Does anyone have an explanation as to why Palm Quick Installer needs all that information? Or why the focus seems to be very heavy on what Microsoft Applications are installed and when they were used?
Q: Palm files installed to PC
When you install your Palm dekstop software to the PC it installs a dozen folders that seem to have no function or value. There are folders in about a dozen different languages. There are also help menus and images of various Palm devices other than the one just installed. How much of this can be deleted? Does anyone have a list of what is safe to remove?
