two nx60's on the same machine

Can I use two different Clies on the same desktop computer? Will it try and merge the different information into one or can I set up two different profiles within the Palm desktop?

Just use 2 different Hotsync names and you will have 2 different profiles.:) A different one for each device that is.

yes you can use 2 clie on the same desktop. I use NX70 and add my wife's TT into the same palm desktop for clie. Just create a new logon ID and you are set. Make sure when you install any new software, you install into right user name...

The answer is no if you are trying to use the same HotSync name! Your better off to setup two seperate profiles, otherwise you'll eventually have mass confusion :)!

You don't use two cradles, but two seperate HotSync IDs. As for cradles, it really doesn't matter if they are both for Clie. I modified a T series cradle to properly hold my NX70V, and I'm thinking about modifying it more to include a stylus holder and have a folding design. If I knew the pinouts on the connector and the USB pinouts on the cradle, I'd modify it to also charge through USB as well.

TT and clie have different connectors. The TT wont fit in the NX cradle. neither will a visor, or a pilot 1000, or a treo.or an N series clie. The list goes on and on.

So how do you use a TT and a NX. Does it work to have 2 cradles at once?

Your not going to sync both at the same time, but they can both be plugged in via USB ports and their respecttive cradles. I have done it several times, even with a Clie and a Handspring Prism.

At one point my family had a Visor Pro, Visor Edge, and NR70V all on the same machine. All three shared the same copy of PalmDesktop. All three had DIFFERENT hotsync names. Pete, Nacia, and Chris. Palm has done a good job of handling more than one device at one time.

We had a usb hub, because we also have scanners and printers and a mouse.. stuff like that. Just plug each cradle in, install the software that came with the unit (for the drivers) and you are in action. It is seriously not complicated.

If you are doing two NX60's then you can even scare cradles.
