I bought Agendus for Windows based on their "Money Back Guarantee." I fully expected it to be buggy as it was the last version I had tried. Sure 'nough it was. Now they have completely ignored my five emails and fax request for a refund!
Monday (if I haven't heard from them) I will contact my credit card company to cancel the transaction . . . and probably never buy anything from them again. It's a shame, because I really like their Agendus product (PDA version). :(

I'm not surprised. Iambic is the only company I refuse to buy products from, no matter how good the product is.

Not too surprised... but I look at them as I do Microsoft.... a necessary evil you minimize as much as possible....

Well, I'm really sorry to hear this. It's unfortunate the company is so SMARMY. The product is not bad, and fills a real need for a lot of PDA users, but IMHO, it's NOT worth the hassle, and the company gets no financial support. Tanker Bob has an excellent page about them. If I can find the link, I'll post it. (Unless TB comes along first . . . )
wellsjs ~ have you tried posting on their message board? I'm sure your posts will get deleted as 'subversive' but you may get SOMEBODY's attention that way . . .

Yes I have, and it has not been posted! ;) I also posted a negative review at Palmgear which just now did get posted. Maybe that will get their attention.
Hey, but for $30 stinking bucks, the damage is done to a once loyal customer. :( Tanker Bob, I should have paid attention to you! Please forgive me!!!! :)

I just got a response to my email (the first one I sent back on Sunday) from them! It said my credit was processed two days ago. Great, but they could have informed me they were processing it. I had asked them nicely to please credit my card and confirm. My guess is the Palmgear review posting is what finally got their attention. :( Well, if they send me a case of beer as an apology, who wants it? :D

None of this is surprising as this is a company that holds the consumer in high contempt and doesn't even bother to hide it.
I could not see myself purchasing anything from them.

Bummer,
I have been trying DateBK5 for about a month and love it! Just for sake of argument, I wanted to try Agendus, so I downloaded it, along with it's desktop counterpart. After reading this post, I have decided that I would rather stick with DateBK5, register it and let my cash go to a good cause.
From what I can tell, Iambic is not a company that I would like to do business with.

I, too, just went through the same thing. I bought the PDA and desktop combo. After two weeks of dealing with tech support, I sent them an email asking for a refund. They actually processed it (or so they say)!
It is a total shame, as I LOOOVVE the PDA proggy. Now, I have to go find something else, and I just can't seem to adapt to Datebk5. :(

According to their email (Thurs), they processed my refund two days ago (Tues). Here it is Friday and I'm yet to see the debit to my card!

OK, a week and two days . . . no refund! Got another response to another request asking for my patience; that they process refunds once a week every Friday. Oh, she said "feel free to contact your credit card company if I wanted to! Customer service - no, joke - yes! :(

It is a shame...their PDA version has been with me for so quiet some time. May be they are a small company and cannot handle all the refund requirement for their window version...:p

Finally got the refund credit this morning . . . end of story! :) Now to try and forget the company who's product (Agendus PDA) I love!
