Hi guys.

I was wondering, is there any way to make the movie player that comes with my NX70V recognize movie files I've made that aren't named MQV0004.MQV. I'm not sure about the exact spelling, but you guys know what I mean. I did a quick search online and came up with NX Movie Aide but I'm looking for a free alternative. If there isn't one then I guess I'll have to settle.

Plus, one more thing. I read on these forums that there's a patch on a website to make MS Pros work. An Asian patch I think that will work with US Clies. Well, it mentions that Movie Player will only play movie files up to 128MB. Is this true??? Can anyone confirm this???

As you can see my 2 questions are related. If I need to break up my goodfellas video into 4 files, I'd love to have them named good1, good2, good3, and good4. not *0005, *0006, *0007, *0008.

Thanx for the help guys.

There was a file posted somewhere called NXMovie Aide. It is shareware but it works great. You can rename your movies anything and they will post in the movie player.

If you search these forums for NXMovie Aide you'll also see that many people believe it caused hard resets on their machine. I was considering using it, but didn't hear enough good reports to justify it.

Supposedly the image converter automatically splits them up into 128 mb chunks and then plays them in a string so you won't know the difference. I've never bothered trying to rename the movies myself. Cheers

I've been using it since it came out and I can't say that it has caused any problems. I carry several MASH episodes and BMW films on a couple of MSticks. It works great for me!!

It has not caused any hard resets, only a problem with synchronization. That has been fixed in the latest release. There is a rarer problem with soft resets that some users are experiencing sometimes, and I am looking into fixing it. A soft reset causes no harm to the device.

Unit # 4077!
Where did you get them?
Did you download them or rip them?
If you downloaded them, could you give me a link?

I got most of them from different places on the web. Do a search or check with K*Zaa.
