I am having trouble locating properly sized screen protectors for the SJ33. Can someone point me in the right direction?

What about these washable, reusable screen protectors ? I have always used the replaceable ones from Fellowes.

Hi,

If you trim @ 5mm off the top of the Fellowes brand protectors made for the Palm III series protectors, they're a perfect fit - at least on my SJ20, which I think is the same width screen as the SJ33.

I'm using up all my leftover Palm IIIxe protectors in that fashion, before I go buy specific SJ20 protectors.

From what I've read, the top protectors are:
Brando (http://www.glblsrc.com/shop/customer/home.php?cat=20) (what i'm currently using on my SJ30)
G2 (http://www.pdascreenprotectors.com/)
Boxwave (http://www.boxwave.com/products/cleartouch/) (a newcomer but great first reviews... just ordered to try on my new NX70V)

I bought my screen protectors for my SJ30 on eBay a few months ago - maybe you'll have some luck there.

I bought the original Sony screen protector for my SJ33. £9.99 for 1 screen protector. Pricey I know, but it fits perfectly. My friend bought a pack of 5 for £14.99 but he has to trim his.

I'm using Fellowes WriteRight Screen Protectors for the SJ30, SJ22, and SJ33. Fit perfect and only cost me $10 at Best Buy after a $5 rebate (last week).

Does anyone know how well a WriteRight T665 protector will fit the SJ33?

BoxWave (my favourite) has SJ33 screen protectors. They say that they're the same size as the T665 ones.

Does anyone have anything positive to say about the Wrightright after having used something else?

I can't imagine going back to them anymore. They were a complete pain to install and keep up plus they dimmed the screen alot more than the others people suggest (Brando, Boxwave, etc).

I currently use Nushields (a million times better than Fellows) but think I'm going to get Boxwave next to try them.

When I upgraded from a T-615 to a T-665 (for a $30.00 difference) I decided that the T-665 was never to experience a stylus' contact. I first tried the Fellowes Writeright, they were all wrong, too difficult to apply and the applicator actually made scratches in the protector, lots of glare too. Next, I decided to try Sony's PEGA-SP60 (one per pack), this looked better, was easier to apply and had no glare, but immediately upon use, I noticed scratches from the stylus (new stylus too!). Finally I settled for Innopocket's ST-0601, it is similar to the Sony, only one to a pack too, but, these seem more durable AND scratch resistant. The Innopoket also claims to filter UV, I think they're referring to reflected light. I really like the matte/flat finish these have, I always hated the glare from the naked screen of my T-615, and with the improved display of the T-665 these protectors really excell. Check Innopocket's website, I believe they do make a specific model for the SL/SJ series even though the screen/grafitti area is the same on the T series. (also, from reading so much at this site, I believe that the Brando protectors are similar to Innopocket's but I have yet to try any other, I still have the first one on my T-665, 5 months so far...)

I used to use something similar to WrightRight on my Palm IIIc. In those days I didn't know of anything else and they were better than nothing. However, they bubbled, dimmed, and it was almost impossible not to attract some dust or fuzz.

I tried G2s (similar to NuShield)on my T665 and they were quite good but I noticed a loss of stylus sensitivity. I now use BoxWave and it's great. It dims only slightly (as compared to the clear G2 and the Brando that dims worse), applies easily and feels great.

I've just bought and installed a Brando screen protector on my wife's SJ33 - fit was great, and although it was the usual pain to get it clean before I applied it, now that it is on, it does the job perfectly - bought in on E Bay here in the UK for £7.99 inc P+P, same price as the Brando one I bought for my NX73.

I had used WriteRight protectors for several years when, as someone already mentioned, I didn't know better. There's absolutely nothing good to say about them for several reasons:
1) difficult/impossible to apply with air bubbles getting trapped
2) causes glare
3) protector scratches easily
4) doesn't feel good with the stylus
5) for what it does (or rather, fails to do) it's expensive ($12-20 a pack)

On the advice I read on this thread, I splurged (at the time, $11 for a single screen protector seemed excessive) and bought a Bando. I LOVE it. People that saw my SJ33 with the Bando didn't even know there was a screen protector until I mentioned it to them in order to recommend the Bando to them.

I will try the BoxWave next time since some people think it may be better than the Bando...but I've got NOTHING BAD to say about the Bando screen protectors.

Thought I'd add a word about Brando versus Boxwave. A friend of mine used Brando and was quite happy with it until he started putting lots of photos on his Clie. Then the slight haziness of the Brando washed out some of the colours. Based on that I tried first the G2 and then the Boxwave. I'm happy with the Boxwave, which is less hazy then the Brando, but still slightly. That's about the only difference that we could see. My friend ended up with the G2 and he's happy as well.

All depends what you use your Clie for.

In my case, I also store pictures on my Clie' (that's klee-yay). The image on my previous T-615 was handicapped by dull reds and blues and glare from the digitizer always made viewing difficult (I was a "noobie" to PDA'S of any kind then, and I didn't realize that screen protection even existed!). With the Innopocket protector on my T-665 (WAY better color & image quality...) the pictures have a textured "portrait" quality, I don't notice any washing-out of color {colour?}, or any blurring of the image. I'll check out the Boxwave site to see if they have any specifications on their protectors, but I'm thouroughly satisfied with the Innopocket protector...so far, almost 6 months. Scratches that have appeared on the protector (which would have meant gashes on the original screen) are barely noticeable, I may have this one installed for a year or more!
