View Full Version : DateBk5 + Today/Wassup = double alarm reminders?

Greetings all:

I've been noticing an occasional issue with appointment and to-do reminders/alarms on my T615. For some (but not all) of my alarms I'm getting double reminders, one from DateBk5 and a second one that I can't identify the source of. I have DateBk5 set to handle all alarms. I also have Today 1.8 installed, having switched back and forth between Today and Wassup a few times in recent months (I've never had both installed at the same time).

Does Today do appt./to-do reminders? If so, why would I be getting double reminders if DateBk5 is supposed to override them all? Could there be some piece of Wassup left on my unit that is doing something?

Any advice?

After a hotsync run DB5. Hotsyncing allows the builtin databook and DB5 to sound alarms. Running DB5 after hotsync allows DB5 only to control the alarms.

This is discussed in the DB5 manual.

After it's installed ~ open it up after every hotsync, and it will prevent double alarms.

I use a small pref-panel program called SyncBack (http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=348B2E0E-D3B4-4B74-82EE006899D785F7&prodID=41157) to do it automagically after each Hotsync.
