Hi All,

I am looking for some assistance. I have been using Netfront 3.1 for months now on my TX and loving it. Yesterday, however, it started crashing my TX without warning. One minute I was using it and things were fine. The next, as soon as I begin to see the Netfront browser begin to load, it immediately starts a reset.

I tried reinstalling it. And there was no program that I had installed prior to it crashing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nevermind. I deleted all the NF*.* files and it works fine.

Just note that Blazer uses the netfront engine. The netfrontlib file is essential to keep if you want to use blazer. I'm not sure about any other files.

NetFrontlib is in ROM. It can't be removed.

NetFront used to crash on my TX until I unskinned it. MaxX already prevents most of the skinning of NetFront (for stability issues I believe) but if you don't add it to the Apps list, SkinUI still skins NetFront. Being that NetFront was not made for Palm devices, it works under certain conditions.

So to recap. If you have any skinning apps, make to add NetFront to the exclude list and disable ALL skinning features. Once you do this, it will also run a little faster :). My TX has not crashed on me all day today which is nice. Blazer usually crashes my TX that's it. Yesterday, it crashed while I was saving in DocsToGo while I listened to music.

On my TX I have a skinning app and MaxX. I've never seen any skinning in netfront. I don't have NF in the exclude list of SkinUI, nor do I have it in myUC list (I never realized how many lists you have to maintain). My TX, so far, has been very good to me, except for with a totally unrelated issue. NF has never crashed on me. Although I have noticed that NF has difficulty with some security forms. And always displays that page too large message.

Yep. I am annoyed by that as well even on the CLIE. Its not skinned on my TX as well except for the check boxes. My NF slowed down. Then when I disabled skin for NF, it got a little faster and hasn't crashed since. Its probably because of another application.

OK, it happened again. This time when I deleted all the NF*.* files, it did not correct the resetting problem. As soon as I tap on the NF icon, my TX resets. Any input is much appreciated.
