Is the T3 not very good as an mp3 player. I previously had a tg50 which was excellent but the T3 is better in ever respect EXCEPT playing mp3's.
I have aeroplayer and pocket tunes installed and hey sound great through the speaker... infact they sound better through the speaker than through the headphones.
My headphones are sony in-ear phones. I am really suprised by the lack of depth to the sound that comes out the ear phones. Also if i enable bass the sound just distorts badly. My songs are encoded at 256kb/ps and are excellent quality.
Is there any fix or am i out of luck :( ?
One of the reasons i bought the T3 was so i could play mp3 because a 1Gb sd card is cheap now but it seems i made a bad decision :(
Dont get me wrong the device is great but i wanted a decent mp3 player which this doesnt seem to have..

Try different earphones, particularly some with impedance at 32 ohms.

No, it's not just you. MP3 sound quality is really mediocre on T3. TX is much much better.

Would getting new head/earphones make a difference?
I just plugged my t3 into my pc speakers and the sound quality is impressive so maybe you have a point yet with these same earphones ive used with my tg50 the sound is great.
Will i just have to put up with the mediocre quality?

I tried a number of different phones, but was always disappointed, especially with the bass.

The thing is that the T3 doesn't have the MP3 decoder and all that jazz that the T5/TX got from Garnet (see this thread (http://www.1src.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112163&highlight=mocean)).

Mostly the reason for nice sounding-sound from PC speakers would be because they have an amplifier, which means something like this (http://tangentsoft.net/audio/cmoy-tutorial/) might be useful. I'm going to try and build one myself...heh cheap and I could use it for my laptop too!
