No sound from Audioplayer

Hi, I'm asking this on behalf of my friend who just got a T665.

He complained that although his files played in audioplayer, there wasn't any sound coming out. He tried it with a bunch of MP3s, so it probably wasn't because of unsupported bitrates. Anyone has a clear idea as to what kinds of bitrates aren't supported on the T665, if any? He checked the "General" preds, so no problem there...Any idea what's causing the problem, or should we just send the unit back for an exchange?

If there is an issue with bitrates or sampling frequency he will get an error message.

The supported bitrates are 32 to 256 kbps
The supported sampling frequency is 44.1kHz

I assume he has played with the volume control within the audioplayer.

Does the speaker make sounds with alarms or games?
Does it work with the headphones?

Anybody else have any ideas?

if u r trying to play the foreign content like mp3 of japanese or chinese music. Watch out ur title and remarks. They have to be enitrely english readable. Only a file of mp3 will corrupt ur whole list. Clie's audio application will not read at all, showing no file on the program.

Thoroughly check ur file name, find one, or more, and then fix it into readable english.

This happened to me too. After a reset worked fine. Sometimes bugs happen and just needs reset.
