Launcher X is now $18.95 down from $24.95 on Palmgear until May 31. It is also on sale on LX web site.
Wonder what's happening? Obviously they are trying to maximize the revenue playing with the price. Probably has nothing to do with releasing an update... I am still hopeful it's not dead...

Now if they'd start supporting (ie stop ignoring) their current customers, they might get some real word-of-mouth advertising--another way of maximizing profits.

Sidenote: speaking of bad customer service, I emailed Sony about a month ago to ask them a Sony Desktop question. The only response I received was a short evaluation survey regarding my recent customer service experience. The survey never asked what the problem was. They just wanted to know if it was good or bad. Nonexistant wasn't an option. ;)

Looks like too little too late to me.

It's still overpriced by at least $6.95 - Zlauncher is $12, has more features, and ZZtechs actually delivers the things they promise -and more.

Looks like a final desperate attempt to keep Launcher X alive.

Bye bye Launcher X!!

Me too. I hung in there for months after the initial release, but I gave in last month and bough ZLauncher. My only regret is waiting so long.

Even if priced at parity with ZL, it's still an inferior product.
LX should be priced LOWER than ZL.

Hving used LauncherX in the past, I have to say that it is a good stable launcher. But, as with all software, problems and questions do arise. With the lack of support from LauncherX, it is hard to stay loyal to such a product, and I am sure that LauncherX sales have dramatically dropped due to this. It is obvious that the developer has no concern for his product users. People will flock to where they are supported, service after the sale is far more important than an over-hyped sales pitch debute. We all see that now, and this is the demise of LauncherX. I think that no matter how dramatically LauncherX attempts to change their practices that there is already such a "bad taste" in everyone's mouth from them that there is little or no hope for continued success of that product.

Instead of dropping the price they should fulfill their promises and deliver active skins. I waited too long for those features. I recently switched to ZLauncher and registered it. I regret having paid for LauncherX. LauncherX is ok, but if you want more, i.e. good support, some skins, updates and bugfixes you should choose ZLauncher in my opinion. Even if LauncherX was cheaper than ZLauncher i would choose ZLauncher

I remeber that "active skin" thing being the great selling point of this to be product back then.
