I tried to move ClieRMC to my memory stick using MegaLauncher. I could not move it and that is fine, but I am now left with two icons for ClieRMC on the internal RAM and I could not delete one of them. How does one delete an extra icon for the same app? Or is the app. duplicated? If so, how do I get rid of the duplicate app.

Try checking out other parts of this site. I've seen a similar write-up and found that the replied answer works...

I looked all over with no success. Hope some one out there has the answer.

I assume you've tried the obvious ... soft reset?

I have tried soft reset. It did not help.

You can't move Clie RMC because it's integeral to the Clie. You should be able to hunt down the offending program bit with FileZ, or TomCatalog, or similar file managers.
Most likely, you have a copy on RMC on your stick and just need to delete it.

I do not have a copy on my stick. I have even removed the memory stick altogether. I deleted MegaLauncher and the second shortcut disappeared. I then installed a fresh version of MegaLauncher and the double icons appeared again. I tried Silver Screen and the double icons appeared again. When I check under info or Fileman all I see is one ClieRMC application. Is there a way to edit icons in MegaLauncher or Silver Screen?

You probably have a copy in ram AND rom. You can delete the ram copy if that's the case. To hide icons in silverscreen, drag the icon to "Info" and check hidden. Then from the menu select hide hidden apps.

Try the Cleanup program that comes with Uninstall hack. I've gotten rid of all kinds of junk with this.

Also...what happens when you select the icons? Do they both do the same thing? I've actually had programs "steal" icons, which was solved with a re-install.

I tried Clean Up and that deleted many saved preferences which was not my intention. Both icons opened the application. Here is what I just finished doing and the duplicate is gone. I dragged the icon in RAM to the trash can in MegaLauncher. Then I did not click "delete" which did not work but clicked "To trash". I saw the duplicate was moved to the trash bin, but the trash bin could not be emptied. So I deleted MegaLauncher while the duplicate is still in the Trash Bin. It was gone for good! Now I have installed ZLauncher instead of MegaLauncher and all is well.
Thanks for your continued effort to help.

Oops! I guess I should've told you to be careful with the cleanup program!! Sorry about that. Nevertheless, I'm glad to hear you're back in action.
