Joined today because the information on 1SRC is great.

I have read all the Gmail problems and tried all the suggested fixes but I still can not get it to work properly.

My issue is that when my TX tries to connect with the "Mail Server" I get this error message:
"There is a delay in server communication causing a timeout. Try again."

I am connecting through my Linksys secured Wi-Fi and I have enabled POP in my Gmail account. I do get Blazer to work fine so I know it's not a communication problem to my router.

Anyone has suggestions?

Gmail is the ONLY mail that is not working correctly for me. I have over 300 messages in Gmail, and seem to only get 138 so far. I keep trying.
I also have a private POP/SMTP that works great with 248 messages, and AIM IMAP (AOL/Netscape spinoff) that also works just fine.
Would really like to know what fixes this. May have to contact Google.

I've always had intermitent connection problems when using Gmail, regardless of whether I'm using my TX or a PC. That's why I still am not using Gmail for critical correspondences.

no problems with mine, over wifi, or gprs via bluetooth. I used the default config built in to versamail,

dumb question, but have you all configured gmail properly?

Yes! For me, anyhow. So far downloaded 435 messages (header and subject line only) and they keep piddling in. Just 'Get' 5 more and am caught up to March 15. Maybe once I get up to date, it will work real-time.
I also tried Versimail from the palm desktop. It did not connect to any of my mail servers at all. Not worried about that though.
