Does anyone knows what´s the problem with Win2000 and N760C hotsync?
Is that I have a cybershot that is connected to the USB equal to the N760C. The first time after the Desktop software is installed it works perfect, but then brokes down and gives me the "seems like the port is in use by another application".
So, do I have to reinstall everything or uninstall it and then goes again?

What I have found is that the software for certain USB devices constantly poll the USB port. This is why you get the message port in use. If you have a second set of USB ports, this will most likely solve your problems. (if not, you could buy a $20 PCI USB card) Think of it in the same way as 9 pin serial's com 1 and 2, if something is constantly using the port, as in checking to see if something is there or holding the port open. Then something else (like your Palm) probably can't use it. So if you had your device (say an Ipaq) on com 1 then you have to put the palm on com 2, to be able to both devices at the same time. Well USB seems to work the same (I guess because it is serial after all) If I try to hook up my iPAQ and palm in the USB ports in back by the keyboard and mouse together, the Active sync software for the iPAQ will keep my palm from syncing because I get the same port open message. but if I move one of them, the palm or the iPAQ to the front USB ports, they will both sync fine.

I guess another, but not nice option would be to use the 9 pin serial port to sync your pda.

Hope this info helps,
