Just wondering if any other TX owners have had an issue with a white screen after a soft reset? I did a soft reset after my TX locked up and everytime after it goes through the screen with the orange Palm logo, then the grey screen with the Palm logo it starts to turn white and will not respond to any input. The only thing that clears it is a hard reset. But tapping on any program give a generic error "application can not be launched because of system error". Doing a restore from Backup Man doesn't help because as soon as it's done and I tap something I have to do another softreset, which doesn't help because of the white screen thing. Right now just to turn it off I had to do another hard reset. Any ideas what's going on?

hard reset
then zero-out reset

White screen is usually caused by overclocking. Did you set WarpSpeed or PXA Clocker to clock the system defaults above 520MHz?

If it's not that, it's probably some software conflict at startup; try disabling a few of the apps that load at startup, and you should fix the problem. See the numerous other threads on this subject.

Thanks dmitrygr, I'll try that. _Em, I have no over clocking on my TX. Infact this is the first problem I've had with it since I bought it when the TX was first released.

Update: I've wiped the TX's memory and it's as fresh as the first day. I did try to do a restore backup and once it finished and had to do a soft reset the problem came back. So I hard resetted again, wiped the memory and will use it as is for a few days and then load one app a day and see what happens. I am worried as this seems to happen with a soft reset and not running any programs. The TX will be useless if I have to hard reset everytime I need to soft reset. Still have my TH!

If you're not running UnCache, you ARE running programs, just by resetting the device. They load code when they get the reset signal. Use Resco Explorer's Notifications list to see what loads when your TX resets.

I had a similar problem coming out of Blazer once. My TX froze and the screen slowly turned white. Fortunately for me a soft reset seemed to cure the problem.

It seems the problem was Agendus Pro v10.01. I had to do a fresh install of every software I run. So far I've done a few soft resets and no problems.
