Some problems with my Clié

Hi to everybody. It's my first time to post here but several times I've read some threads here.

My Clié it's a second otr third hand PDA, i bought it from the spanish site of Ebay and the seller bought it from USA. In this weeks I`ve some problems with the PDA.

The first one is about the CCD or I think so. Few days ago when I was taking photos I saw a line that divides the photo in diferents colors or resolution (I've no idea). I know that Sony would fix the problem but I read here in the forum that the costumer support is horrible and I don't know if they will fix my Clié because it's not a european Clié. I read about Chris Short but I don't know if he accepts Clie from other countries. Can anybody help me giving information about the Clié service from Spain or about Chris Short?

The second issue is about the memory stick slot. The cover can't down when the memory stick is released. Has anybody the same problem?

And, finally, the third problem is about the scratches in the cover. The scratches have been when I bought but i want to paint it to cover the scratches. Any suggestions or advices are welcome.

Search around. I've done some painting myself (just minor corrections) and I used car spray of just the same metallic colour of my Clie. It worked 100%.

Can't help much about CCD or MS slot, sorry.

Thanks you for the answers. This time I've got lucky and I found several posts about painting the cover of the clie.

It's a pity to call the Sony Costumers Support but at least there is a solution. Keep your fingers crossed. ;)

Camera CCD failure is common on many NX & NZ series Clies. The only way to fix the problem is to send it to a Sony repair center.

I have not had a problem with my memory stick cover, but have heard about this problem. Again, if you want the handheld to be 'like new', you would have to send it to Sony for repair.

Since your Clie is second or third hand, go ahead and paint it. I am not bothered by the scratches and wear marks on my NX-80.
