Are there any windows emulators that work on palm? I have heard of one, but don't know where it is.

This was a windows 98 emulator that works on devices with a 420/320 screen and is still in beta stages.

What...a Mac emulator for PalmOS? Personally, DOS would be OK sufficient for me.

Well, it is more of a mac sim than a real mac... Also it doesn't work worth a darn and I dont have any mac roms. :(

Hmm - I seem to recall seeing a DOS-like environment available - maybe it might have been associated with the native Pascal programming effort?
If you can't find it, I'll have a look later this week.

Do you mean this (http://tamspalm.tamoggemon.com/2006/04/01/windows-95-for-a-palm/) one? I'm sorry but it is only a joke like this one: http://beiks.com/palm/ShowTitle.asp?TitleID=302.

Why do you want a windows simulator for palm? I don't understand what it would let you do that you can't already do.

In terms of the processor handling running Windows 95 (at least), it is technically possible. I'm not sure if the PalmOS API would allow something like bochs to be ported, but I have no problem running most DOS applications on my ipaq. I think I remember Metaview alluding to something about a DOSbox for Palm..

The fact is that I don't NEED it, I thought it would be kind-of cool.
Why do there have to be so many april fool's jokes?! It is begginning to drive me crazy. ;)
There is an Amiga emu and a Atari ST one out there.

Sorry, but it was only a joke. 04-01 ;)
But someone wrote a comment in which he told us that he wants to port Bochs to Palm OS. Maybe he is here at 1src too and tells us more...

The only option may be DosBOX + W3.11
But first must be DosBOX, now is in development

And I have W3.11!!! :D
and at the same moment, I relize this is embarrasing :o
Also there is (or was) a dos emulator in development that runs on castaway.

Someone is porting DosBox to Palm OS?? Could you give me a link.
Castaway is an emulator, and then you emulate DOS again. I tried it. It is so slow and the most apps won't start. And you have only a 720 KB DOS emulation, this doesn't work (even with Windows 1.0).

It's me... And it does start up but it lacks a console mode (but maybe I can skip it if I directly try to start into a game or such) and even worse, it is postponed at the moment as I had to do something other fast for the ZodiacFrance contest: http://www.emuboards.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=26750

MetaView, you rock! PalmPDF freakin' rocks, ZDoomZ is totally awesome, Crimson Fields is great, and now you're trying to port DOS. You are probably one of the best Palm programmers out there that I know (Along with Dmitry and Sergey), plus almost all of your stuff is freeware. Let me just say...Thank you (Even if the DOS thing never gets finished...)

I am very glad to hear about a dos port. If you need a beta tester, I'm here for ya! :D

Who is Sergey? And which apps does he write?

MetaView, what was the decision of that long discussion about a DOS emulator/simulator at the zodiac forums. I can't seem to find the thread again.
Thanks,

Sergey? Vavlillion?
modernmystic: the conclusion was: it's impossible and unsusable - which I try to prove to be wrong. At the end we have Amiga and Atari emulated and both are quite fine without sound...

Yeah, Sergey made a few games like Vavilon Expansion and Sahalin etc.
Vavilon is a great game with quite good graphics (Although only 320x320) made all on the Palm using OnBoard C.
Anyway...I think if I can run King's Quest V (Though slowly) on my T3 using Amiga (MyUAE -- Which rocks by the way...), some form of DOS must be able to run games at least crappier than that...
