I have a friend that bought a TG 50. He was looking for a GPS system for his machine. He lives in Canada

Well I'm not sure when (if ever) it comes to N. America. But in Japan you can buy a GPS memory Stick.

Also, I'm not sure who makes it (though Garmin comes to mind), but there is a Bluetooth GPS unit floating around on the internet, that would work too.

The Bluetooth GPS Receiver requires drivers, which are currently unavailable for the Palm OS. The only current option is to get a serial cable from a source like TheSupplyNet.com and a compatible GPS receiver.

Has anybody figured out when and if the GPS MS is coming to N. America? Definitly something that would make my Clie complete...well that and a Wi-Fi MS.

Mapopolis has a link to Bluetooth GPS receivers from EMTAC that they say will work with PalmOS via BT. You can check it out yourself at the mapopolis website http://www.mapopolis.com

Dear T1000X,

I use Emtac GPS, and it does not need extra drivers. You have to pair the devices (trusted devices in prefs/bluetooth) and the GPS sends NMEA 0183 sentences over virtual serial driver connection, built in PalmOS 5.

Thanks for the update zfarkas. I stand corrected, and properly informed. I wonder if it would work with the MS Bluetooth stick and my NX70V.
