Hello:
I am able to access free hot spots so I know my Wifi works.
However, I can't get my LD to work at home with my SBC DSL 2WIRE890
I have a ten digit WEP so my Key Type is 40-bit hex. Right?
Should I change it? Should I check four keys?
The Wifi panel says it is connected (solid green light). However, Blazer won't work and Addit says failed to connect.
Any ideas?

You may want to either use WEP with a passphrase, or switch to WPA. Before you do that, try connecting again with the "power saving" option in your Wifi settings disabled.

Well, in my experience the WiFi part is ok if the link status bar is green and mostly full (showing the quality of connection/signal strength).
Just my thing: with my experience, when there is an error in key exchange/encryption of WLAN, then the LifeDrive will "never" display a connection. It's like this at my home. Can be wrong...
I would check on following settings which might be neccessary to go online - but not bound straight to WiFi settings:
it should be the same as on Your desktop PC (likely You got one where You can go online - LAN connected or via WiFi? Settings should be similar!)
DNS-Server IP Addresses: manual or automatically
Gateway address
subnet mask
the IP address itself (maybe DHCP is turned off on Your router or what so ever, so all of them could be missing)
Maybe You need to access the internet with a proxy inbetween. In Blazer You should check Your proxy server settings.
Last, it could be incompatible. But I wish I am wrong with this. Good luck!

Could be wrong but depending on whether your router distributes IP addresses this could be your problem. If it doesn't you will have to specify one.
To check make a connection and then in the WiFi manager go to the button labeled info. If information for Ip address and stuff is blank then you will need to manually configure it.
