If this has been covered elsewhere I apologize....
I've had my TX for more than 6 months and I just started having the following problem:
Whenever the TX is powered down for more than a couple of hours (have not been able to define the exact time) it requires a soft reset to bring it back to life. In other words neither the power button nor any other hard button will turn it on.
1. I've tried hard resetting (restoring using Resco)
2. I even deleted some programs that I recently added.
I expect it's related to a third-party app....but which one!!!!
I've been using Off Flush for a while so I don't think that's it...
Any ideas?

Definitely sounds like a third party app. From what I understand, there a number of ways to turn off the TX. Some ways trigger event calls, others do not. I had a similar problem to the one you are experiencing, although I don't think it had anything to do with timing, a little while back. At the time I put it down to a quirk. Thinking back on it now it may have been because I was using a third party app to turn off the TX in order to trigger OffFlush at appointed times. I now use 2PlayMe to turn off the device at scheduled times and have not had that problem since. So, do you by chance use Sleep, PowerOff or Off-It (Ithink it was one of those I was using at the time), or possibly something similar to turn off your device?

FrameTX is a definite NONO. Many members of 1src have said that after removing it there palms became more stable.
WebPro has a known problem on the TX in that some functions cause resets. I don't know if there are other problems.
Teal Lock may be a problem in that the security API on the TX is not all that good.
What version of OffFlush are you using? This could easily cause the problem you outlined if it is one of the later more aggressive versions. I am using v1.00 posted in the applications->enhacements section of 1src by me.

hey cyber,
why do you find it necessary to QUOTE everything? This thread is not that hard to follow... save space and just respond.
BTW....not looking to start a flame war....just trying to keep threads efficient.

Just a habit. but I find it easier to follow threads when people quote what they are responding to. Otherwise there may be a couple of responses between the one you are responding to and yours and what exactly you are responding to may not be clear. Also it is easier for people just coming to a thread - easier to follow the "conversation".

cyber....
an easier way would be to quote the needed text...the exact text you are responding to or write the person's name to whom you are responding to. But hey, you are a grown man....do what you like!

I removed:
FrameTX
Off Flush
Set Auto
The problem APPEARS to have resolved itself.
I will now load Off Flush 1.0 and report back.

I'm pretty sure it was the Off Flush version I was using. V 1.0 seems to be working fine and the problem has not happened again.

FrameTX did the same to me, so it might've been both as I've never tried Off Flush.

I appear to have had the problem just last night with PalmPDF 1.2. I fell asleep while reading, leaving a file open without turning off the T|X and let the 3-minute auto shutoff function take over. This morning I awoke to a dead battery and the need to perform a soft reset to return things to normal. It's the only time that I've left a file open and having this occur. I don't have FrameTX or OffFlush installed on my machine. Anyone else experienced similar behavior?

Yes, I think. I had something similar happen, but I don't think I had an app open. I woke up in the morning and had to reset my TX in order for it to start. then it was fine.

P.S: BTW your Keycolor is really handy congrats ! :)
i was wondering about it to if there is a possibility to change the color of that terrible white space between the StatutBar and the Dia... :D just an idea :D

Yes, i have this also.
about 2 times a week when i wake up. TX wont turn on.. sometimes I think it has something to do with Pocket Tunes.
Haven't got Frametx installed or off flush.

Jempen - i know of 2 other apps that have been reported to do this - Today did this for sure on my LD - removed it, it stopped happening put it back it started again. Also TodayPlus was reported to do this to someones Zire 71 on the TodayPlus forum (but it works just fine on my LD).
Likely suspects appear to be apps that are set to launch immediately on power on - or at least do something automatically on power on.
You got anything like that?

I've been going nuts for weeks trying to figure why every morning my T/X was dead. Once this was removed, it's purring like a kitten. TX2 installed and no problems. Thank you all for the Frame T/X Tip :)
