I use Pocket Money on my TG50, it is simple, intuitive, looks awesome.

IMHO, it is Splash Money. The interface is elegant and intuitive, and in the year I have been using it, it has never once made weird accounting errors, which BOTH Pocket Quicken and Ultrasoft Money have done.

The only drawback is that it does not have a desktop app, although you can feed the information into Excel, Money or Quicken. This is a one way proposition, however...you can not make changes to, say, Money on your PC, and then on your Clie, and have them sync up.

However, if all you will be doing is entering information on your Clie, than this is the app for you! It looks good, includes some nice features (such as auto-filling transactions), and is easy to use. And you can have it feed to Excel files, if you want hard copies.

Another vote for Pocket Money. I love to use it with Quik Budget.

UltraSoft Money if you use Microsoft Money on your computer.

I was thinking about purchasing Ultrasoft Money in the future, can you please elaborate on the "weird accounting errors?

Here's one that I found posted by you. Any more?

Here's one nobody's mentioned yet: Ultrasoft Money. I tried it for the 30-day trial period, and while the interface was nowhere NEAR as elegant or intuitive as Splash Money, the fact that I could simply enter transactions and then seamlessly hotsync with Microsoft Money made it worth the price to me.

So I finally purchased and registered the app, and wouldn't you know it - the very next day, it started dropping transactions from my Clie, and screwing up the totals! Unless I can figure out what's going on, it looks like it's back to Splash Money for me, $34.95 the poorer... :(

I encountered none of this over the past 3 years. Could simply have been a new user setup error and not the program itself:)

Mind if I elaborate on this thread a little?

I am 18, and I'm just starting to get into the credit cards, loans, lots of paychecks, cash withdrawls, and all of that good stuff. I do not currently have a check book.

I am with the North Carolina State Emplyees' Credit Union. Through thier website I'm able to move money around, pay off my credit card, look at transactions, interest earned, and all of that good stuff. I don't have desktop money software, I just use the web interface for everything.

What are the advantages of getting something like Money or Quicken and doing this through the software? I have read through the FAQ at the NCSECU website and they say that these programs can access your account information on the web. I feel like I'd like to be able to do these things on my Palm, but I'm having trouble visualizing where I would apply this functionality. Can someone give me some examples of how they use financial software and/or the Palm counterpart in day to day life? I just don't want to invest money in getting this software setup if I'm not going to actually use it for anything. I appritiate any feedback anyone wants to give. :D For me, this is all very exciting. I have gone 2 years so far and I have never gone into the bank to do anything. I am able to handle it all electronically. I feel like moving this onto my PC and my Palm is the next step.

I know that I don't use this software to it's fullest by far, but it allows me to keep tabs on everything in one interface, gives me the ability to chart and break down expenses, estimate future expenditures and a whole bunch of cr@p that I still have yet to figure out. I have credit cards, checking accounts, savings accounts, brokerage accounts all in one place:)
