If you do, how painless/painful is it? I'm thinking about getting a TH and using BT to surf via my cell phone is a major reason for the switch. Thanks.

its depent on your connection speed, whether gprs/edge/umts.
for surfing to mobile sites, retrive email (without attachments) and use im, gprs is fine.
if youre going to surf alot, download files and attachments, and listening to internet radio with ptunes, go for the edge/evdo/umts services.

Yes. . .one of the reasons to have BT TH55/E! I have Cingular RAZR V3 and using the Mobile Hi Speed software to make the connection to Cingular's GPRS can surf the web anywhere I get a cell signal.

I have the MediaNet Unlimited package for $19.99/month that gives me all the data I need. Now it's pretty slow depending on what you want to look at--I have my home page set to www.palm.com which is their Mobile Portal and practically graphic-free for speedy downloading of pages. It has Yahoo Mail, Finance, News, etc links on it and since it's optimized for PDAs, it does well considering. When I try to go to 1src.com for example, very long time to load that type of page.

I do, and configuring the TH to surf via Bluetooth (connected to a SonyEricsson Phone / GPRS) was rather easy. (At least, much easier than configuring my T625 to connect via IR to an Alcatel phone)
