My project is done. I converted a non-bluetooth japanese-red TH55 to german-red TH55 with bluetooth. What do ya'll think? :D

Thanks Joel. It involved 2 part swaps, motherboard and face plate. The latter is for displaying the Bluetooth LED.

The Cap Go Go hinge plugs are the early generation hard plastic ones that I purchased from Global Source PDA (https://www.glblsrc.com/shop/home.php?cat=262) over 2 years ago. They are no longer available. Since they are hard plastic, unlike the Brando's black rubber ones (http://shop.brando.com.hk/capgogoforclieth55.php), then they are easy to paint with matching camel red color. :)

Nah, I like it the two-tone theme color better. However, while they are still available, I went and bought the red Sena case and red flipcover. ;)

Yap, it comes with English, German, and France. It is back in English as my German is very bad. All I can say is these important words while I'm in Munich Octoberfest : Ein bier bitte!

Thanks. Unfortunately it is not Datebk6. That is ZLauncher Today with 4Cast plugin. Here is a better screenshot of ZL Today from my other TH55.

Love the work. I've all ways wondered after seeing your TH55's what are you using to change the SILK or DIA area at the bottom of the screen? I use Mega Launcher and love it, but they don't offer anything like that.

Thanks. That VG & SB skin is called Sphinx by Mythomania Factory (http://homepage.mac.com/karimc/). I bought it at handango, long time back. Not sure if it is still there or not. The 3-dimension buttons are really :cool:, created way before SkinUI or PalmRevolt.

a red TH55 was exactly what I had in mind, very nice work DanT.
I might consider switching to something like this when my UX50 dies on me. I can still live with it as Portrait mode is now operatable on the unit. LOL

I'm a TH55 Nutcase, so just TH55s. Take your pick. ;)

I have several from good to mint condition TH55/Us (no bluetooth) and TH55/E1s (with bluetooth). This eBay Item number: 9729054082 (http://cgi.ebay.com/Sony-CLIE-PEG-TH55-U-256MB-MS-one-year-warranty_W0QQitemZ9729054082QQcategoryZ38331QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) is one that I consider good. You can bid on that one or buy a similar one straight from me for $225.

I've been watching eBay for the last few months. That is the going price for a good condition. The benefit buying it from me is I give one-year warranty for it. The TH55/E1s are about $100 more. I got one of TH55/U and TH55/E1 in mint conditions for $300 and $400, respectively. Just send me a PM and we can deal off line. I'll send you plenty of pictures over the email, so you know what you are getting. ;)
