I have a beaming problem. I already searched and found no solution.

I just got a treo 600 off ebay. Everything works except beaming.
That is, I thought beaming wasn't working.

When I try to beam anything to/from my treo 600 and NX60 it fails everytime.
I have a friend that has a LD and we tried that... Turns out the TREO works and the CLIE doesn't.

I backed up all my data on the clie and did a hard reset. It still doesn't work. I have not restored so I thought maybe it was the ID. so I restored and it still doesn't work. The CLIE ID is Ken Williams and the TREO ID is willikr.

The clie remote works as does IRmonitor shows both devices have a strong signal.. My camera phone shows the IR LED flashing when searching beam.
I have default capture installed on the CLIE so I thought it might be the problem, but I don't see anthing.

HELP!!

This may not be helpful, but I can beam to/from my TH55 to my wife's Zire 72. I know that my old Clie T415 required an update for the IR to function properly. Have you checked for upgrades to the NX60 for any IR functions?

I'm pretty sure I have all the updates, but I'll check again.

Thanks.

I was right, there are no updates for IR. Plus, IRmonitor and CLIERMC both show that the port works.

After some extensive research, I have found that many ppl with sony and palm PDAs have problems getting them to talk to each other. Some won't do it at all, others have found that trying to beam something both ways at the same time and then cancelling one, makes it work. This does NOT work with my two! :(
