Today, I left my home with a TX around 55%. The night before, I had not charged it so when I woke up, I charged it for like 20 minutes. Then when I got to school, I was listening to music on it and playing the Halo 3 Trailer on it over and over :). Then I charged it a little more for probably like 1 hour total at school but a segmented hour (meaning I charged it in a short amount of time then later again with those time periods adding up to about 1 hr). I then went to a track meet with my TX at like 75%. I played music, video games, and videos. I stopped when I realized my battery was at around 30%. As I got on the bus after a 4-hour track meet, I let people watch the Halo 3 Trailer on my TX at full brightness with my battery at 21%. The trailer was watched like 5 times (trailer is like 2 min. 30 sec.). I got my TX back and the batt was at 21% still. So I decided to listen to music and my friend asked to play Bejeweled 2. Knowing that I had not charged my device the night before, I had a feeling it would die on me. I set it up so that I could listen to my music via Background Play and my friend play BeJeweled 2. Upon him finishing, I had enough battery power to play music for like 30 minutes more. Then my PTunes stopped at 18%. I decided to stop at that point. Once we reached back to my school, I took my TX out and saw if I could use Ptunes, my TX was at 20% and I started Ptunes again.

I realized that it takes a lot to bring the TX down. My constant battery checking is a habit I picked up during my days with the UX. I find the battery life on the TX more than amazing for 1250mAh.

As for liking the TX, I've come to love it. The audio annoyances have gone away with my street-style headphones that I have now. The Hold feature may be implemented via an application veritech is creating called Hold (which can be found in the Developers section). If a solution is found, I will be greatfully happy with my TX. So far everything has gone well with it. It still crashes but overall, most have been fixed with hacks and software that gives you more memory instead of Blazer as well as allows you to control your app boot list.

BTW, I'm just loving the screen :)

ooh, software plug ^_^, I love my T|X, i turned down a ibook, 19" lcd, and some other stuff so i could have one.

Sadly my battery life stories aren't as great as yours, the best i've got is 8-9 hours, including about 5 hours of music playback, mind you that was before my underclocking days.

I have this silly idea, that because i only yet it charge of 2 instead of 3 hours when i first got it, i messed up the battery (that is stupid, right; the cycles balance out after while, right...), but it could just be me wardriving at every possible opportunity, secure your AP's people! ^_^

T|X for life... or least till the battery gives in
